The Call for papers and workshops has just been posted for an exciting conference that I am helping organize, Toward the Just Metropolis: From Crises to Possibilities. As we note on the new website, it is a "conference for planners, designers, activists, policymakers and citizens dedicated to a just future for all human settlements."
Bringing together North America's three oldest progressive design and planning networks — Planners Network, Architects/Designers/Planners for Social Responsibility, and the Association for Community Design, together with Young Planners Network, the Center for the Living City and numerous local and regional partners, this four day event of classroom and mobile workshops, art and film, activism and urbanism promises to be an amazing event.
I will post more information from time to time as the conference comes together, but I encourage all Polis readers to consider participating.
