Vending carts are a common sight in cities. They are platforms for personal expression and alternatives to mass consumerism. Using this idea of personal transactional space, artists Atom Cianfarani, Máximo González, Miguel Luciano, Hidemi Takagi, Tattfoo Tan and Ricardo Miranda Zuñiga produce works that create intimate experiences in public space.
“Mobility” is on view at 56 Bogart Street in Brooklyn until October 17. Interactive performances are scheduled for Sunday, September 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 24 from 3 to 6 p.m.
